MAKE A TEMPLATE
|
| When finalizing on unit, always make a
cardboard template
of the outside dimensions of the picture frame to be sure the
"footprint" on the wall seems proportional to the surroundings.
This is very important when the unit is above a fireplace to be sure
there is adequate clearance above the mantle. Our
calculators provide these dimensions
|
|
DRAWINGS | | Even though our calculators provide
all installation dimensions, we suggest you
request a 3 view drawing from us based upon your TV dims. There is
no charge for this service and it is highly recommended. |
UNDERSTANDING FRAME WIDTH
|
|
Frames in the Moving Art Series have to be a minimum of 5” wide because
frame acts as a valance to hide the artwork when it is rolled up.
Picture frames look best when they are the same width top, bottom and
sides. Click here for

HIDING TV
BEZEL | | If you want to hide the TV bezel, plan in advance
and supply us with a detailed drawing of all TV dimensions. Masking
Systems are used for this purpose.

WHAT TO DO IF TV SIZE CHANGES | | As we all know,
TV models & sizes change continuously. If you are concerned that a
specific model & size might change, you should order your moving art
unit with the largest size TV that is appropriate. Then, if the actual
TV is smaller, you can order a
custom mask for the TV
or simply put a flat black paint or material inside the enclosure to
make the gap far less obvious. |
|
CHANGING ART | | If the client wishes to have
several artworks for the same unit, we suggest using the
Illusion Moving Art. This design makes
changing artworks very quick and straight forward. The extra art is
supplied on separate tubes and should be ordered at time of initial
order. |
|
WHERE TO PLACE SPEAKER BARS | | Whenever possible,
install the speaker bar BELOW the TV for best performance. If this is
not possible, we suggest using left & right speaker bars instead of
placing a speaker bar above the TV. |
|
THIN TV SPEAKERS | | Most of the new ultra thin
TVs have built in 'back firing' speakers. They essentially drive the
sound against the mounting surface, not directing into the room. The
sound is very poor. We highly recommend using a Speaker Bar with these
TVs. |
